We will hold the third block of Suptech seminars of the FIN-TECH Horizon 2020 Project with the main financial regulators and supervisors in Spain. It will focus on risk issues in Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, with attending members of the Bank of Spain and the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). We will hold it online on June 1 and 8, 2021.
This two-day session event will present and discuss four of the project's Blockchain use cases:
· Use Case I: Initial Coin Offerings: risk or opportunity?
· Use Case 2: Are Cryptos becoming alternative Assets?
· Use Case 3: Libra or Librae? Basket based stable coins to mitigate foreign exchange volatility spillovers
· Use Case 4: FRM Financial Risk Meter.
We will count with the valuable participation of the authors of the use cases as speakers: Anca Mirela Toma (University of Pavia, Italy), Thomas Leach (University of Pavia, Italy), Daniel Traian Pele (Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania), Rui Ren (Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany), and Wolfgang Karl Härdle (Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany).
Given the panel of speakers and the audience, we know that the discussion will be exciting and the feedback will be insightful.
