The activities of the FIN-TECH project draw on the contribution of :

Fintechs and fintech hubs, who have detailed understanding of business models based on financial technologies;

Regulators and supervisors, who have detailed understanding of the regulations and risks that concern financial technologies;

Universities and research centres, which have detailed understanding of the risk management models that can be applied to financial technologies.

The Fintech Project is a complex platform grounded in research, oriented towards innovation and standardization, bringing together in over 100, both in person and online, events the European Financial Ecosystem.

What was done?

We have started from top research produced in the field, and have enriched it with over 40 papers published in peer review journals on topics related with the three pillars of the project: 11 Big Data Analytics, 12 Artificial Intelligence and 17 Blockchain.

We have selected the most attractive papers and have produced 12 use cases trying to innovate and help standardize the understanding of risks emerged from the use of the 3 new technologies in the financial sector: 3 Big Data Analytics Use Cases, 3 Artificial Intelligence Use Cases and 6 Blockchain Use Cases

We have presented the uses cases and have gathered feedback in over 100 events: Suptechs, Regtechs, Research and Spin-off events all across Europe.

We have brought together in our events over 5000 participants from: international organizations (ECB, IMF, EBA, EIOPA, ESMA, etc), national supervisors (at least one supervisor for each EU member country + Switzerland + U.K.), banks and insurance companies, fintechs, universities and research centres.

We have tried to bring the topics closer to the wider public in a more facile manner by creating video content – 14 short videos. Watch now!
